in 2001 a new club night was created called Poetic Soul which had its residency in Charter-house street Farringdon in a club called Lift house spaced over 3 floors, each floor having different music genres Rm1 Poetic Soul ( Old skool Hip Hop, RnB, Jungle & Swing & Garage) Rm2 Poetic Funk (Funk, Boogie, Jazz Funk & Fusion, 80s Soul) Rm3 Poetic House ( House music of all orientations) we stayed there for over 7 years then with closure of the club went back to djing in private member bars such as Kingly Club, Pangea, BrickHouse, Soho House,to name but a few. DJing at Parties for actors and footballers, weddings and corporate events etc, Then I started DJing abroad in places such as Lebanon Beirut, Brazil, Morocco to name but a few, in 2013 Poetic Funk resurfaced from Poetic Soul, following the original tradition as a strictly vinyl night dedicated to unapologetic funk, boogie, 80s soul, Disco, Salsoul, Latin, Jazz Funk & Jazz Fusion, Broken beat and Afro Beat, the sounds of yesteryear the soundtrack of our youth, Residency at Husky Studio & Guys chamber bar and then we moved to Brixton Chip shop for 5 years, Poetic Funk as had the honour of playing at The Brixton disco festival, regular stints at The BBE Store, We Out Here Festival, regularly DJing and promoting live bands at The award winning Fox & Firkins venue in Lewisham, Having a Poetic Funk tent at Hastings amazing Hidden-beach Festivals, headlining the official afterparty for the Cross The Track festival; Mi Soul Margate summer festival; Poetic Funk collaboration in Perpignan France; annual residency at the Winter Gathering Festival in Iceland; the honour of playing at Somerset house thread the needle exhibition. The legendary Poetic Funk summer Bar Garden Alll Dayer as well as promoting Poetic Funk once a month residency in Brixton at Ton of Brix venue, 2023 saw a new addition to the Poetic family, Poetic Jazz
